City - As Much Class as Jordan & Katona

Like Danny said earlier in this thread, it's nice to see a small team get a bit of cash and mix it up a bit, but the way they have conducted business with bully boy tactics and the way Hughes has interacted with the media is nothing short of embarassing.

Like I have said in the past. City are like that Chav who won the lottery, and for me it's certainly a case of putting a silk cap on a pig.
LOL i had a lot of time for Hughes as a player a dirty bugger for sure but he gave it his all but him as a manager for me he's living on borrowed time he pretty mcuh has to win something or he'll be shipped out pronto.

His signings have at best been patchy and expensive patchy signings too i dont think other than Abebyor theres one i would want at our club and given that lads behaviour i dont think i'd want him either.

I found it interesting that citys chief exec said the big spend is now over and they will concentrate on the young ones i wonder if shiekhimdown the owner is already getting a bit bored with his toy.

I actually think their signings have been rather astute, even if some of them have problematic pasts.
They targeted their 3 main rivals for Europa / Europe in Barry, Lescott, Adebayor and Toure.
Bellamy is a great player like him or not too. What they've done is bought players with strong Premiership experience, and that is very important in the first step to climbing the Premiership ladder.

It is far too early in their new found history to attract the big name players, but if they build a solid foundation this season, which I think they have, then next year we might see some new faces.

I can talk all night about things I dislike regarding their actions etc, but I've tried to move on now and just accept that what has happened has happened, even if I was a little angry before hand.

It might actually be good for the league if one of the big '3' fall off their perch as a result.
