Its worth noting that not every Footballer will demand a significant signing on fee. No deal is ever free, but a free agent who has been released and would like an opportunity in the Premier League may well settle for a reasonable signing on fee and reasonable wages. Its worth a go.

Regardless of his banjoing skills, I wouldn't mind a new striker on the roster, because (a.) it would mean we've made a signing, and (b.) maybe something will come out of competition for a first team spot.
