What happened about them including metal from melted-down turnstiles, given Goodison is still there?

They used the metal from the old Boleyn Ground instead, there was a few knocking round at the London docklands scrapyards.

Will have to dig out the email but almost certain that delivery is slated for September

My delivery is due 10th September, according to the email. but the 'hold' message on the order when I logged into the website again to check, looked strange.

Someone on the Facebook page for GOT has said they have theirs, and put a picture up, so Goodison must be at least one turnstile down now. .

But was hoping for a bit more detail on here about how it is.

Can you still get these and if so what's the cost?

I don't belive you can buy them direct any more. They sold out. I imagaine some people will re-sell though.
