My decorations have gone up, and this 5 inch (app) plastic glowing tree thing is about as festive as I'm getting. I'll stare at that for a few minutes a day to fill myself with joy and wonderment.

It’s weird but I love that ornament
I love the little odd ones we have picked up or inherited over the year. Its boring when they're all from the same box.

Who has taken down their tree /decorations already?
Mrs Tree has a couple of friends who can't even let the Hallowe'en dust settle before setting up their tree and covering their entire house in red, green and white LEDs... these same people have taken all their decorations down and binned their trees already. One of them, on being asked, revealed that they take it all down on the morning of the 27th. this same person puts it all up earlier and earlier with each passing year "for the kids".
To me, taking it all down too early is just as bad as putting it all up too early. Perhaps naively, I was well into my thirties before it even occurred to me that the practice of putting the tree up on Dec 12th and taking it down on January 5th was not universal.

I never bothered to put them up in the first place.
Generally, we try to take ours up until February 2nd (Presentation of the Lord). Almost never make until then though
Ours will come down on the 2nd or 3rd as I'm back away for work again come the 4th..
The missus would make a disaster of taking them down if I leave them to her, meaning next year's erection would be a nightmare!!
