Thanks lads. It's only her loyalty to her mother that has kept me from seeing Claire at Christmas. Her mum never remarried and would otherwise have had Christmas alone. If I hadn't been such a hard act to follow (says me, not her!) she might have remarried and been happy to share Christmases. But all those years of bitterness and spite towards me finally told on my daughter and she told her spiteful, malicious, holier-than-though mother to sort something else for her Christmas.
