Christmas food and ale megathread

I started to discuss Christmas dinner in the "things you hate about Christmas" thread, but realised it's the wrong place for such discussion.

This is my ideal posh Christmas dinner:

Roast potatoes in olive oil and rosemary, loads of vegetables (sprouts, carrots, cauliflower, brocolli, honey-glazed parsnips), stuffing (crispy on top), rich, beefy, red wine gravy, turkey with bacon cris-crossed on top, either honey roast ham or beef, bread sauce, massive Yorkshire puddings...

Also a big fan of Christmas nibbles, nuts, Celebrations, Twiglets, cheese and crackers.

Mmm.

Gonna get some Leffe in too, hope it's on offer somewhere for a few of the 0,75L bottles.

The Czech's have carp for their Christmas meal. It's more in keeping with the bible or something. They also have Christmas on the 24th though so what do they know?

I have a day off tomorrow, gonna get a bit if Xmas gluttony practice in tonight.

Mostly ale, meat and cheese, like. And wine, and some port. And if her mum has my daughter, some cava.

Me and my cousin are going halfs on a crate of Chang, as you do. Also getting some botels of Duvel ready.

Where do you get Duvel from mate? Is it nicer than Leffe? Or not comparable?

I just get it from the local Morrisons, I assume that they sell them in all Morrisons. I dont really think they are comparable, Duvel is stronger though at 8.5%vol. Give it a try before xmas lid
