I give to http://www.purpleheart.org/ usually. They phone every so often when they're doing pick ups. I've got a bagk of fairly new clothes that people bought me and I never wore ready for them when they call. Plus they accept small furniture too. Gave to other charities but found out some were only using a small % for the actual charity.

Great idea. Might I suggest a less "sexy" charity such as mental health, homelessness, drug rehabilitation etc. All of these will affect Evertonians and won't attract much funding.

This is a great site, you get to see who the money's going to and what they're going to do with it. Best of all the donations are only loans so you usually get your money back. Which you can then use to make another donation.
