You missed out fish. Lots of European folks have fish for Christmas (carp to be precise). I know. Fish ffs.

I'll be having Karp in Warsaw on the 28th, I think. It's great actually, and my F-i-L does a good jellied carp.

never tried carp, but I like freshwater fish such as trout and that so I'm guessing it tastes like a big trout only bigger and more carpy or something, fk keeping it in the bath though, wouldn't want that thing swimming about while I'm playing with my little submarine

Just what you're used to innit? Sure they look at our turkey and think it's a bit odd. Think I'm right in saying they have fish because it has more of a religious link to Jesus. Something like that. Got some cracking carols too. Me and mine won a prize for our rendition

Lobster's out as a starter as dad doesn't fancy it for the big day, getting kept for Boxing Day instead so our Xmas menus is

Starter
Pâté for mum and my sister
Soup for dad
Italian cold cuts and mozzarella on bruschetta for me

Main course
Turkey
Beef as my sister hates turkey
All the trimmings including pigs in blankets
2 types of gravy, beef and turkey

No idea of dessert yet

Couple of Kopparberg Mixed Fruit to wash it down

We be havin turkey and beef..... All the veg and other stuff too..... Gonna be an absolute pig and then relax for therest of the day with a large bottle of Mogans Spiced.
