Christian Benitez

Christian Benitez, who played for Birmingham City in 2009-2010, has been killed in a car accident. He was only 27 years old.

The news has been confirmed by his club El Jaish Sports Club in Qatar.

Benitez won 58 caps for Ecuador and played in the 2006 World Cup.




I remember him being really quite decent. Very sad news.
