Sooooooo... It's ace.... It's fantastic... It gets money to the people who need it most.... But........ The hosts, the guests, the organising, all that goes with it..... I'm gonna be honest, times are tough.... I don't like millionaires on the telly telling me to dig deep. If the top 30 richest people in the uk donated 1 million each ...job done ..... Are they gonna miss 1 million out of their vast fortunes.... Anyway, I'm going to bed.

Said something like this on Facebook last year, the moral brigade were fuming.

Here's something to get your chops around.

The BBC spent 58m in 2011 on severance payments to their fatcat bosses.

Now they're asking skint Britain to put their hands in their pockets to fund their charity.

Don't get me wrong, I think charity is fantastic and Children in Need helps thousands of kids and families, but the money that corporation wastes year after year after year...

Too much PR. I saw 5 mines where One Direction were appealing, all saying half a sentence each with 'sorrow', so contrived.

why even bother to start a thread like this? not having a go at all Kurt you know i like you, but these political threads are quickly becoming the core of the forum.
