Terrifying. Not wonderful. At all, I was numb all the way through it.

Dunno how my missus made it through it all. Doctors and nurses are amazing.
It's the reason I don't wanna have another baby.

That and the fact I hate my missus.

Keep the gas and air for yourself..... Women get the stronger drugs so use it to get yourself through the birth... I did. Marvelous stuff. Well, it's not like 8 cans of Stella but it's the best your allowed in Hospital.

I'll just quote myself when I've been asked "so you must want to watch your child being born?" My response, after a few beers in a room full of women "if I see that train wreck first hand then there's no way I'm going near it again".....Like a lead balloon.

With our second I found it hard to concentrate on what is supposed to be a beautiful moment because my Mrs sh!t at the same time as the baby came out (common I'm told) and it absolutely wreaked.

Had tears in my eyes but didn't have the heart to tell her it was cos I felt like I'd been pepper sprayed.

I have had the misfortune to be in attendance four times, one ok two pretty bad and one horrific. Never again do I want to witness it. I made sure I didn't have to again.
