Noticed a few players again today (notably Ross) chomping away on chewing gum during the match.

How is that allowed in these days if mega-insurance polices for players? How is it not a highly dangerous choke hazard for players who end up falling and diving all over the pitch ever few minutes.

Players from other teams so it as well, is there supposed to be some sort of a tactical advance gained from Hubba Bubba?
Does Spearmimt make you run faster than Juicyfruit or something?

We used to get a bollocking at school for that sort of thing, why is it allowed at a professional club?
I'd say the far larger issue here is that this is how you choose to spend your Saturday evening.
