Used to play in secondary school. Never really went to Chess Club as those guys were real boffins and too good for me, but whenever they were short of players for games against other schools they used to call me up and I did ok. Find I either overthink or act to rashly nowadays..

Used to enjoy the game Battlechess on the Amiga, but that was more for the awesome battles the pieces would have, rather than any real understanding of the strategies involved in playing Chess.

I know what each piece can do, but I've no idea how to play it properly.

Used to really enjoy chess. Was board 1 for my primary school but then my senior school didn't have a chess club. Probably the reason I eventually lost my virginity, I'm nerdy enough without chess.
