Both their best goalkeeper and striker player for different clubs.

What ever happened to Kakuta? Weren't Chelsea banned from signing players for 2 windows just to secure his services?

They currently have 6 players on loan at Vitesse who have never won the Dutch league but they are joint top with Ajax at this time.

They loan out a ridiculous amount of players, there should be a maximum on the number of players clubs can loan out. This would discourage clubs from purchasing players they have no intention of playing in the near future and thus stopping rival clubs from buying them.

It's ****ing ridiculous that they can just stockpile good young players. Yes we are feeling the benefit of their stupid policy, but it's unfair that they can do it as well as gazump anyone they fancy in a straight bidding war.

R/S have 9 out on loan, 9 piles of crap that signed, would get nothing back for so they have offloaded the wages so that they can sign the ones they have.

cba at all to find out their collective wages tbh, but remind any shobgites that go on about our loan players.

Chelsea's new signing Bertrand Traoré has been sent on loan already, no prizes for guessing who to.

That Thibaut Courtois, if not already, will be, the best goalkeeper in the world. The fella is an absolute powerhouse in the box, he commands the box superbly. No surprise to see why he's conceded the fewest in the league, it's ridiculous to think Chelsea have both Courtois and Cech, for me, Courtois will have one more year out, and then they'll let Cech go.

Some of them players like Piazon, Hutchinson, Chalobah, Van Aanholt and Romeu will never play for Chelsea again. To think the hype on some of these kids, like Kakuta, and they're just fading like a damp squib, but fair play to Chelsea, they've got loads of kids out on loan, that can only benefit them.

I've reminded a few of them of this recently. They go on about how we are only where we are due to loans, yet can't get their heads around the fact that Suarez would not be there if they were playing the wages of the 9 players they have out on loan, nor would they of been able to offer him an improved contract.

they just signed another kid and farmed him out on loan to Vitesse. That makes 7 now which is ridiculous

It's a weird one.

Whereas it's good that good players get gametime rather than warming the bench or not even making that, it could be argued it's not very sporting in terms of clubs developing their own players.

Imagine a situation where those 6 Chelsea players at Vitesse start to gel really well together, build experience and understanding, then Chelsea swipe the lot after they qualify for the Champions League, leaving them threadbare, used, with nothing to build on. At what point are clubs actually using other top flight teams to do the hard work and treating them like Reserve teams.

Good thread Goat.

It is a good thread.

I honestly think there should be rules. I'm not sure what rules but rules.

Is it even right that Chelsea have all these players on their book when they have no intention of playing them, either now or for some of them ever?

Are they just taking players because they can afford to and to stop their rivals getting decent players?

Many questions.
