There are two saying commonly used on GOT forums the first is 'Cheese on toast' and the second is 'lid'. Can someone give me a definition for both as I'm not of a scouse origin and i find these somewhat confusing.

Lid is an affectionate way of saying Lad, but is pretty much slang for Lad if you live in and around L4 postcode area.

Cheese On Toast is one of the greatest delicacies ever created, so its only natural it pops up in Polls as an option as its the easy way of sitting on the fence in the debate.

eg.

Q:"What do you think of Immigration Lad??"

A: "Cheese on toast lid."

Settled.

Muggs, why do you have a pic of Chico's mar as your Avatar mate ?

I'm in mobile mode mate. Should be looking at the big yellow 'M'????

You recovered from Sunday mate??? I thought of you when i'd finished jumping up and down going mental. great win.
