Cheap Asda 50 inch LED tv...

Was looking at that a few weeks ago. Looks really good for the price. The only thing I was concerned about is that it's Polaroid, which is just an ASDA own brand name rather than the same company who used to make the instant cameras.

Absolutely, plus it's guaranteed anyway. TVs haven't half dropped in price over the last few months. I was made up to get a 42'' for under £300 about 6 months ago like. The World Cup will look cracking on a 50'' like
 

Best bet is go see one switched on in a store, under £300 is no money for a 50" LED TV, if the picture is good it's a steal.
 

Add the 3-year warranty and what's the harm - even if it goes kaput you'd just get another. I'd definitely take the warranty though - looking at the T&Cs it guarantees a repair to your house due to the size of the item if there is a fault, with a refund or replacement if it can't be fixed.
 
Oh, and I've seen it in store - really decent picture, on the surface nothing distinguishing it from the likes of a Panasonic Viera at all.
