RANGERS owner Charles Green claims that he has been offered a way into English football.

Green insists it’s just a matter of time before both halves of the Old Firm are playing elsewhere.

He said: “Whether it is next week or in five to 10 years, Rangers and Celtic will leave Scotland.

“Two English clubs have come to me and said ‘buy us and close us down. Take us for free and take on the liabilities.

“I have spoken to a number of chief executives from Premier League clubs and all of them would welcome Rangers.

“Only two have said no.

“Why would football clubs or football authorities not want Rangers and Celtic? If they say it wouldn’t add anything to the game they’re lying.

“Would Rangers be bigger than West Brom, Aston Villa, Everton? Of course they would.
“Would Celtic? Yes.”

Meanwhile, the Ibrox side have sent No 2 Kenny McDowall on a scouting mission to Honduras to see three players.

haha get to **** Green you fool we wouldnt want your lot down here love the Old Firm apparantly cant stand English football but would flog their nans to get a sniff of the mighty TV deal hahaha do one.

Better stadium, bigger fanbase, can see the point he's trying to make.

Would work beautifully until they crashed and burned, went years without a trophy and everyone realised the Green was a massive, massive bellend.

They probably are a bigger club than us, but my Sunday league team has won more stuff of note than them so...

*man who buys club for £10M that's now worth £50M wants to join league where it would be worth £500M shocker*....

Lets see how loyal the Celtic and Rangers fans are when they win f*** all and have to travel hundreds of miles to watch nearly every away game.

They already follow them in massive numbers up to places like Inverness, Dingwall and Peterhead, trains from Glasgow to London are relatively cheap, I reckon they'd continue to sell out aways.

Can see the argument for celtic being bigger. Them bells??? No Chance!!!

And if they came to England with the side they had before they got demoted for being bent they'd be playing Grimsby away within two years

I don't care if we are big or not. I just want us to be good. To be the best. ****ing bigger. What a stupid concept. It is the sad clinging on to the history we all know too well because we don't ****ing make it any more. Well, not the mythical history that successful teams do.

Leave this kind of debate to the Geordies. They're the kind of pricks bigness should matter to. I want to be winners.
