Changed energy company as mine went to an offshore call centre .....

The money Expert advises you should change Energy companies so I have save over £200 per year after a 2 hour call to SSE new call centre offshore which would usually have taken 3 minutes in the old days been with them 15 years - googled around it's so easy to do went with Octopus which voted them best provider last year too all done online too.....no smart meter need or if you have one they transfer it over no exit fee either... ;)

I just use Uswitch. It’s brilliant mate. Octopus are supposed to be decent. Use Uswitch in the future as they do most of the leg work.

I was diverted there & Octopus were the cheapest best firm for my needs - I got a 12 month no charge exit policy so if they don't compete price wise you just change again .....its like car insurance you get stung if you stay with the same company......
The transfer is simple plus a bonus of £25 on first DD ...
I already negotiated a £25 discount for my telephone call with SSE sorted then I got 3 emails on the bounce saying all different things - So I switched and got through quicker and told them my reasons out of politeness for leaving.... also to make sure they honour the £25 offer....over a TWO HOUR PHONE CALL.......

Yep, just moved to Octopus this week too. Was with Bulb but their prices are about to go up. My energy bills are pretty low anyway, mind

Yeh mate it’s crazy how beneficial it is to change yearly. Everyone should be doing this now.

I am a medium user too but one quarter my bill with SEE went up £20 - the just put my DD from 65 to £90 ...hence my Telephone call those offshore centres are a money making racket so that was it...... it is the famous Supremes song -

Actually the lady I spoke to this am to say I was leaving was English ...... she stated she would let the Managers know nothing to do with who is on the line its the time they take - I cant stand waiting on a premium telephone number... I hate call centres if they act the Goat pardon the pun
