Championship positives

Tell people in the United States that Everton is a Championship team and they are actually impressed.
Will never forget how impressed those Japanese exchange students (ladies) were in 2008 when we beat "European Champions" SK Brann 6-1

They dinnae know any better :D

I know that in the grand scheme of things being relegated is definitely not a net-positive and it brings with it some extraordinary risk, but the prospect of a full clean out of the squad is tantalising.

A fresh start with a young core of Garner, Patterson, Cannon, Branthwaite, Simms, Godfrey, Warrington, Mills and others is quite exciting.

I know it won't be the reality and shipping the majority of our squad will be hard, but the idea of starting again and rebuilding has some positives.

Just did a scouting trip of the Championship on a trip over from the states. In addition to watching us get smashed by Fulham and draw with Palace. I scouted Millwall, Birmingham, QPR, Norwich and Bolton (might get promoted). We might be in trouble next year too.

I think a lot are starting to come around to this is a strong reality, its like the five stages of grief, most are at different stages, but i do think many have got to stage three now

  • denial.
  • anger.
  • bargaining.
  • depression.
  • acceptance.

I’ve bought the regional supply of Domestos & Harpic & will be inflating the price by 40% so I’ll make a tidy profit.

Otherwise, I really can’t see much upside
