So this weekend is a bit lame in terms of top flight soccerball, so let's have a look at the next league down...

Any players you fancy from the Championship?

I really would only take Taarabt I think now, but Conner Wickham looks quite the prospect.

Those 2 are probably the best known, for me personally anyway

Taarabt is one massive ted though....all tricks and flicks. Hence why I love him

I'd defo gamble on that Yakubu

Wasn't it rumoured we were looking at Bristol City's Nicky Manard? To be honest the way our finances our, the best bet m ight be to scour the lower divisions and cheaper european leagues for players in the summer. We need at least four or five to freshen up the squad, I'd say. With three or four going out.

Agree with the above stuff. Lescott and Cahill were from Championship clubs when we bought them. There was King at the Foxes who we were meant to be linked with. An Evertonian I know who lives down that way says he is a pretty good prospect. James Vaughn scored a well taken goal for Palace today as well if you are interested.

Always impressed by the way Robert Snodgrass plays, but I fear the pace of the premier league would neutralize him. Well, I guess they said that about Charlie Adam too...

Here's a list of players from the championship and league one that i think are worth watching and maybe worth taking a gamble on.

Wes Morgan, Lewis McGugan, Nicky Maynard, Marvin Elliott, Chris Eagles, David Marshall, Chris Burke, Keiran Westwood, Nathaniel Clyne, Wilfred Zaha, Conor Wickham, Jonny Howson, Robert Snodgrass, Andy King, Luke Steele, David Nugent, Adam Barton, Alejandro Faurlin, Adel Taarabt, Mathew Mills, Ashley Williams, Joe Allen, Scott Sinclair, Scott Loach, Will Buckley and then Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Dale Jennings from league one.

Some good young talents there and with our finances being like they are, with what ever money we can rake in from sales of the likes of Yak, Yobo and Vaughan, we could invest it in some of the names above (apart from Oxlade-Chamberlain i would imagine).

Have been to a Norwich City game twice this season (away to Notts Forest and last Tuesday against Leicester). Was very impressed by Wes Hoolahan and thought he'd be pefect for us. Only found out he's turning 29 very soon, so forget about that. Still a very good player in the Championship though/

Didnt know we were looking at him thought it was the likes of fulham or west ham

Dm should always look towards th elower leagues for players,he has that knack of spotting and bring on good players

Now all he needs is to have some cash.

We couldn't do too badly getting 3-4 Championship players, people all have to start somewhere.

Would rather take a gamble on that than spend £8-9 million on a Portuguese Gareth Barry.
