Shouldn’t it be top 10 teams so they can include Arsenal?

They have been discussing this for a few seasons.

This version sounds bad because it's 10 group games, rather than 6. This means that by the time you get 6 games in, you could have a load of teams with 4 more games to play and nothing really to play for because they know they can't change their overall position. Teams will start to play their kids or B teams in those games, which they may need to do as its 4 extra games and unless the Premier league reduces by 2 teams or the champions league teams drop out of something, like the league Cup, the players will be even more tired than they are now.

You think this because you actually care about the competition and the quality of football.
They don't. All they think about is the money from TV rights, sponsorships etc along with keeping
the cartel clubs in the manner that they believe they are entitled to. They just want a bigger trough
so they stick their snouts in even deeper and hoover up even more money.

I guess so, I think for a lot of top european teams, their leagues are not that compeative though, because there is such a gap between the champions league clubs and the teams in the bottom half of the league, it would be like comparing our Premier league top 10 with the top 10 of league one, in terms of revenue. So other than the Premier League, most of the countries will probably jump at the chance for more champions league games. This, over time will create an even larger gap between the champions league teams and the rest of the domestic teams.

I just hope if it goes ahead it doesn't impact the Premier league, by reducing the teams. I could imagine the champions league teams threatening to pull out of the league cup and FA Cup though, so that they get to enter the competition later and save themselves some games
