Champions league qualifiers

Would'nt that lift some of gloom the away from Everton. Can't see it happening however even if Standard Liege where world beaters which they are not. Still, i raise a toast in the hope that they succumb to defeat and fail to qualify for the champions league proper.

[Poor language removed] SAKES! THEY MISSED A PENALTY NOW [Poor language removed] [Poor language removed] [Poor language removed]

0-0 at half-time but Liege should be 2-0 up. A header off the post that reina clawed back for what i felt was over the line and a terrible penalty kick that hit the keeper more than it being saved. Who is this Dosena? He is woeful. RS to win the Prem, are they having a laugh?

Is'nt it also strange how they froze the penalty incident, a wrong decsion that was outside the box yet they could not do so with the effort that i believed crossed the goal-line. Typical of the a@~e lickers of itv.

HAHA "Liverpool in [Poor language removed] without Gerrard shocker!"

Torres and Keane aint gelling apparently and yeah, that Dosena is meant to be having a shocker. £7 mill well spent again Rafael!

I particularly enjoyed this comment on the Guardian's MBM:

he best pun we're going to get today, right here: "Liverpool are being done by Standard Liege. Imagine if they had to face Special Liege, let alone Export Liege or Wicked Super-Strength Liege. Maybe they should change their own name to Substandard Liverpool."

How much you want to bet that after this match they tap up Barry's agent and he holds out until he's sold to the Substandard [Poor language removed] for 12M.

Didn't Keane leave Spurs because he wanted to play in the C-League? If that's the case it wouldn't have hurt if he actually touched the ball.

Typical - They should've lost, at least 1-0 (doubt Standard would've gotten the penalty if the goal had been given) but now because of a [Poor language removed] call from the linesman and an even shitter penalty, they'll win at home, get put in an easy group and pull in another shedload of cash that they don't deserve and widen the already sizable gap between us financially.

Games like last night's reinforce just why I despise everything to do with them, so much goes their way that wouldn't for any other club - us getting 2 sent off against them, their 'goal' against Chelsea in the CL a couple years back that didn't cross the line, the ease at which the league dealt with Mascherano's 3rd Party issues all come straight to mind and how can they not be getting in [Poor language removed] for tapping up Gareth Barry very publicly?! - Villa should sue the bastards!...

Happy that the smug smiles have been wiped off Benitez et al. for a while at least and if they're going to play like that, I'll be looking forward to derby-day.
