Calm

It's the bottom of the 9th, the score is tied. It's time for the big one.
It's time. Every year I hope Everton will make it to the Champions League Final, and every year i'm left disappointed. Mainly because we weren't in it. The plaque for the alternates is down in the ladies room.

So this will have to do. Now i'm not some weird faux European football expert as some may claim to be, but i'm also not daft enough to not know that these teams are bloody awesome. Both Dortmund and Bayern deserve to be in this final. They have been the best two team in this years Champions League so it feels right.
What will be weird is Wembley Stadium being invaded (not sure I should use that word but i'm going with it) by Germans. They will love it. Bloody love it. And to be fair, they are both an awesome set of fans. Should be quite the atmosphere in the national stadium this Saturday. Shame nobody has offered tickets out. On a side point, I read that Dortmund's avergae gate this year has been over 80k. That's insane. Here they are being immense:

(Incidentally, stupid Wembley have banned the Dortmund fans having one of their huge banners. Unreal)
So onto the two teams.
We'll start with Dortmund. A few names stand out in this squad. Pole and nearly Blackburn striker, Robert Lewandowski took the plaudits for smashing Madrid all over the show last round, Marco Reus is a home grown peice of aceness, I personally think Ilkay Gundogan is a cracking player, and not forgetting Sven Bender. LOL.
They are managed by the utterly mental Jurgen Klopp. The man is nuts. He's like the cool Business Studies teacher you had in 6th form who came out for Friday night drinks and you wonder how you ended up with a D when you were predicted an A. However, Klopp has taken this lot from the brink of Sheffield Wednesday to the very top. Take note William Kenwright.
Don't panic, i've not forgotton this little chap:

Look at his little impish face.
Anyway, this will be Mario Gotze's last game before leaving Dortmund for Munich next season. Many a question in my head over this. What if it goes to penos (god I love penos) and he's on the 5th to win it? What if a Munich player snaps him in half? What if he snaps a Munich player? What if Bill Kenwright makes a last minute £75m bid for him using the Arteta money mixed with the Fortress Sports Fund? Alright that last one won't happen. But the other might. It stinks to me. Stinks.

So Bayern. Now I hear from a few people that Bayern Munich are really hated by anyone who isn't a fan of theirs. You can see why. They hammer everyone, buy all the best players, and they are so so German. It was good to see them lose to Chelsea last year (John Terry likes this), as it took them down a peg or two and in front of their home fans too. Lovely stuff. However, I fear it just woke the beast. They have smashed just about everyone they have played this year, including the faux euro fans w*nk fest Barcelona in the last round. That was ace. Times, they a changing.
Munich too are full of players who would walk into every team in our not as good as it once was Premier League. Germans Thomas Muller and Bastian Schweinstiger add that essence of efficieny to the team, whilst Arjen Robben and Frank Ribery terrorise down the flanks. Look, I don't think Ribery is very good. There I said it. I just don't think i've ever seen him play well. But he must do otherwise he wouldn't play. And as for Robben, for god's sake, just don't let him cut in onto his left. It will be interesting to see who they go for up top. It's usually Muller and either George McFly look-a-like Mario Gomez or the good Croatian striker (we've got the terrible one) Mario Mandzukic. Either way they are both goal scoring machines so it matters not.

This will be Jupp Heycknes (man that's hard to spell!) last game as Munich boss. They will be up for it more than ever you suspect. And to impress their new boss Pep Guardiola who no doubt will be watching on with great interest. Although, let's be honest, it can't be that hard to go into a job where the players are already boss and winning everything. Just go in and say 'carry on lads' and get paid 100k Euros a week or whatever he's going to be on.

So there we have it. A clash between the two best teams at the home of football. A safe judgement would be to say the neutrals are after a Dortmund win, but my head says Munich have this in the bag or the German word for bag. I don't know what that is.
Mustang, this is Voodoo 3. Remaining MiGs are bugging out
