I've taken to not answering questions on gender or race on any forms on the basis that such is the start of positive or negative discrimination - both of which are wrong. Furthermore they should be irrelevance.

Gender has always been asked on the census. The rest are not mandatory questions, so you have a choice to ignore them if you so wish.

I've always previously answered the gender questions on the census, and it hasn't changed last time I looked, so there's no point not answering this time around I guess.

In terms of race, it’s what YOU identify as so it’s purely subjective rather than factual. You could freely change it from day to day if you so wish.
