Yes, we were. But even when we were boss, we couldn't qualify to EURO and had some cruel luck. I'm sure you know that history - it rained very heavily day before our most important game in history (against Germany in '74) and pitch was in mess. We were very technical side in those days so we can't play our game on a water. Who knows how this game could went if it wasn't for rain :)

Yeah, I forgot that :D

I can tell you that Bryan Clough was right to call Tomaszewski a "clown". What a bell he is these days (he was a politician, now a "pundit"), incredible. Many of those "heroes" became a total tools after they hanged up their boots - Grzegorz Lato (top scorer of WC74) is another example.

Fame must have gone to their head

I thought he made some cracking saves to be honest. People forget that he'd dislocated his shoulder early in the match, so that's what led to his "clowning"
