I'm not paying them anything it's all fees and charges. I don't want them harassing the owner of the property
They can’t seize assets. Was the creditor Moorcroft? Think they got a load of old Lloyds accounts. What they can do is apply for a bailiffs warrant which would add more charges but is easy to deal with Doubt they’d call at your previous address anyways. They can also apply for an attachment on your wages but I think that’s pretty useless for you and if you have property in England or Wales they can seek a charge order. What’s most likely to happen is they do nothing and sit on it. It will fall off your credit file 6 years from the date of the judgement but that doesn’t mean it will disappear in this case as the creditor can go back to the court to have it reinstated.
Depends how you want to play it you have several options. First I’d be asking was the judgement legal (was it made within 6 years of the default) and is there grounds to set aside. If it is legal then I’d either contact the creditor directly to offer repayment (you usually have to complete various court forms but can often do this to avoid costs) or sit on it and don’t do anything. I think you live in Spain so I’d have to check up on how they could enforce the debt through Spanish courts but it’s unlikely. (In my opinion)

Noted you know your stuff for future reference.

I live abroad it was issued to an address I moved out of 20 years ago. I have one UK bank account I use and don't want them trying to rinse it.
Take the money out, close the account, change your name by deed poll fly to a far off country that has no extradition deal with the UK, change your name again in that country, get a new passport fly to the UK set up a new account in a different bank in a different town or city and put the money into that account... it's simple really.
