My favourite CB pairing was Heitinga and Duffy because they were the most badass CB partners I've seen.
I feel as if Distin's speed gets him out of some of the mistakes he makes, once his speed goes I will get really worried.
Honestly I'm happy with either Distin, Jags, or Duffy partnering Heitinga because he has done really well with Duffy and Distin and Jags would add more composure than Duffy or Distin.

Just keep Heitinga at CB!

Long term I'd like to see jags back in instead of distin but for now it must remain as first choice heitinga and distin.

I do expect jags to perhaps start on start on sat tho. Prob inplace of distin for a rest. Plus jags needs to be fully up to speed incase the worse happens.. Injury/suspension.

It's great we have Jags - and as you say Christiffa25, Distin won't be around forever. We are blessed with three great CBs, let's use 'em.

But for now, don't fix the partnership that has delivered several clean sheets. Especially against the red sh*te.

All 3 are great defenders, but why do they never score when they go up for corners?

Actually, thinking about it, that's probably more due to the awful delivery.

For me, heitinga is a must. Brings passion and guile and is a winner. Our team is filled with nice guys. But only pienaar, Neville, and heitinga seem to have that real "fire in the belly" and the ability to change a game out of sheer determination.

He and Distin are great together, don't break it. Start pairing Duffy and jags as an alternate duo. If heit or Distin get hurt, sit both if it's just a game, let them both rest, and put in our alternate pairing of jags and Duffy. Let jags and Duffy play in cups. Let pairings develop and then we can start getting some players rest when needed, but still feel like we get a solid pairing used to playing together.

Need to revisit this if longer term injuries though.

With the exception of Distin, neither Jags nor Heitinga is really tall. They're both 6' or 6'1" which isn't anything special. Despite that, Jags has two goals off freekicks this year and Distin scored two great headers last year, one against eh sh!te.

I just like them to score more. Like when Lescott (booooo) scored loads for us and like Gary Cahill seems to.

Our attacking players should be scoring more first ! Baines equal leading scorer is dreadful really.
