CBs - two from three but who?

Dunno which two make my arse twitch the least...probs Jags and Johnny but I also love Dustbin. Oh to be Moyelz.

Recently? Heitinga has been the player of the season!

Distin is solid but has his moments, and id like a CB pairing of Heitinga and Jagielka. Though like ive said, Duffy should also be in the mix!

Heitinga + Jags = Meh

Jags + Heits have been a bit crap every time i've seen them together, which is worrying because they should be the two center halves who we can depend on really. If Distin does get a contract extension then i can't imagine it being more than a year, or two at a push.

Heitinga and Jags are too similar (defensively) to play together. Heitinga has been superb so can't be dropped, and I'm always impressed by Distin whenever he plays so don't think you can drop him either. Jags will just have to wait his turn.

No real rush - we have the option on him next season. We won't be in a rush to offer long contracts to anyone his age unless the deal suits us.

I have no idea atm. Jagielka looked like he was getting back to being the player he was in 08/09 - i.e. unplayable. All three players have their "moments". Either way, Distin has to be in there for height, for me.

Like people have said, Jagielka and Heitinga are quite similar, and that is a problem. The best CB pairings normally have a do-er and a thinker. Hence Jagielka and Lescott, Heitinga and Distin.

I personally would love to see Heitinga and Duffy permanently, i think they were the best CB pairing this season to be honest.

But Heitinga and Jagielka are technically our best CB's and they havnt really had much time together, so for the end of the season id try and play them together and see how they do
