Neither. They both crap and you have to clean up after them. At least when doing that for kids, there is (hopefully) some payback....that they look after you when you are too long to do it properly yourself.

Dogs. They obey commands.

Cats swan in whenever they want, and occasionally bring a rat or a mouse home - sometimes still alive, so you spend the entire day looking for it. Plus with cats you never know if they are coming back - they could just get run over when they are out and i'd hate for that to happen!

Oh it wasn't a reason why Dogs are better, just to me they are.
