How in the hell can a player agree a deal, sign a contract, receive his work permit, be allocated a shirt number and still not be able to play?!

Surely you'd need International Clearance before being able to put pen to paper or at least before the Home Office gave you the green light?!...

To be honest mate, I think he could have played but Moyes needs time to actually see him in training.

Would be foolish to play a player who he has only seen on video.

True, but I would've at least thrown him on the bench on the off chance it was us that were 3-0 up with time to kill!...

Not to worry though really, James had a blinder and it wasn't really Rodwell or Jagielka that were at much fault for the result, although I personally would never have Jags anywhere except centre-back.

Now all the newbies have got time before the easier (well hopefully) Stoke match to at least get to know the lads' names.
