I heard that they were owned by a company who get local sports 'personalities' to front their restaurants around Europe/World (can't remember). So if true, he probably had very little to do with them other than lending his name.

Probably right there mate. Cant for the life of me think who thought putting the name of a yard dog, ugly, limited defender would make it look like an attractive place to eat though!

Its amazing really. We have a famous celebrity chef as a client, and he struggles just by putting his name to a place to make it work. People expect him to be there. Just the name wont cut it these days. Unless you are Beckham I guess.
 

Made up used to hate driving under the under ground to deliver stuff to them, can't come in without a hi vis bollocks.

Disgusting isn't it mate you open a lovely restaurant selling totally groundbreaking stuff like burger and chips then somebody else opens a place in the same city,maybe he should have asked the council for exclusivity to sell food in the city centre.
