What pub is everybody going to in Cardiff? Is city centre best or near the ground?

Near the ground is shocking mate. Loads of great pubs in the city centre but you are a fair walk away and some of the Cardiff fans who come down from the Rhondda Valleys will be looking for trouble

City Centre is best, there's a great little bar called Zero Degrees near the Millenium, and the main street is littered with bars

Cardiff away for football is slightly less friendly than Cardiff centre for stag do's

Nothing wrong with Cardiff city centre for stag dos. There are always loads down here and I've never seen any trouble

If you are drinking in the city centre then head for St Mary's street. You can't miss it the castle is up the top. There are a load of good pubs around by there. The Goat Major, The Rummer Tavern, O'Neils, Kitty Flynn's, Kiwis. Don't go in the Borough as that's a Cardiff City bar. Just off St Mary's St are a number of other good options - The Old Arcade, which is a famous rugby pub but really good, Mill Lane which has a number of classier bars. Close to the Millenium Stadium is a great Wetherspoons called The Gatekeeper, then there's the Queen's Vaults and the City Arms (awesome pub that does a variety of real ales, ciders and about 117 different whiskeys. If you want to sample the local brew its called Brains - the SA is particularly potent. Places to eat include the new food quarter in the St David's Centre 2 - Fridays, Ruby Tuesdays, various Italians and other eateries. Caroline street for curry and chips etc is amazing. By walking on your own in an England singing Swansea songs mate. They'll fast track you.

You could get the train to Grange Town and walk, it's a bit of a walk but the transport links to the ground aren't great.

Dont mind getting a taxi but its getting back to city centre after?

My mate in works a manc....said they had a club really close to the ground.......walking distance
200 plus in there no bother

I live in Newport, but often visit Cardiff and have been to the stadium a few times for Wales international games
