Anyone any good with this type of thing?

Im gonna but my own set of wheels soon (maybe even next weekend) but don't really know where to start or what I'm doing!

Any tips would be good.

I got mine on one of those online search things, Confused.com and such like. They give you a range of quotes ranging from lowest to highest. You can usually apply online for most of them , too

Ta. Havnt done confused.com yet. Tried the others but not sure how much is too much.

Also, is it better to pay monthly or in one go do you think?

I use Tesco's, pretty cheap and easy to do online. Get a quote within minutes (like most I guess)

I pay it monthly, myself. Try to pick a company that's based in Britain, though. It's surprising how different companies charge for the same car. My quotes for my Fiesta 1.2 ranged from £250 to £ 1,500. Some companies give you free breakdown cover , too .
