Alright lads,

Can anyone recommend car insurance providers? Not the most interesting topic I know but could do with some recommendations.

The quotes I'm getting from things like Money Supermarket and Compare the Market have been way more than what I paid last year - I have moved to Liverpool this year and they want about £400 more for renewal

Move back?

@Bungle and @Moomin are both in the insurance business mate and will probably be able to help you.

All depends if you want a meerkat toy or a robot one

You get a robot if you use Money Supermarket ?
Ace, those meerkats are gross.

my car got rear ended & written off in december, my insurance paid me for it (less than it was worth tbh) & their legal cover sent me for a medical assessment and a course of physio for whiplash (I did have it btw), 7 months on and my insurance having probs with the other party, there were 2 policies on the van due to it being a leased one & they submitted the claim to 1 but it was thrown back as not their responsibility and then the same by the other. Under threat of the Police for failure to report the accident the company owner then told them which policy (march) but it seems he still hasnt informed them, and both insurance companies keep returning the claim.
All this meaning that what should have been an open and shut case with regards to liability is turning into a long drawn out saga & 7 months on my insurance are no closer to recovering the costs and compo because the other 2 both say its nothing to do with them as the accident hasnt been reported to them.

and the cheque I was hoping would be here for a decent holiday is no closer than it was in December. The legal costs will be higher in the end but I wont get any extra for the time and grief, maybe if they were made to pay me extra as well as the solicitors then they may have paid out as soon as possible.

Liverpool is your problem.

I moved from Aberdeen to Southport and mine doubled.

Try esure, they aren't on comparison sites I don't think..

I use one call despite 20 + years no claims cant below 450 here in Wavertree. Bonus with them they guarantee you three years same price so none of the ridiculous renewal quotes you always get and then have to shop around every year! Protected no claims too fully comp
