What do you mean Insulin for Type 2 Diabetes, Joe?

I have that and they told me I don’t need to take owt.....just watch what I eat and exercise plenty.

Are they giving you Insulin for it?

That maybe pre-diabetes, I'm type 2 and am basically the reason the NHS is broken, injections, 6 different tablets.... been doing low carb for a while which has really helped. Although I am a fat git this is genetic I'm told ;)

My dad was type 1 and both me and my brother have type 2 (diagnosed 20 years ago). Because my control wasn't good, I was put on tablets and then insulin. However, over the past 18 months I have finally adopted a better exercise and dietary regime and as a consequence have stopped the tablets and reduced my insulin intake to under a quarter of what it was....I believe that type 2 can be reversed but also I realise that everyone is different. The drug companies don't want you cured....they just want you to manage your condition with the help of their products

Recently going onto insulin for type 2 diabetes - I don't drive as much as I used too anyway, but applied to keep my license in an event of any emergencies atm wifes full of flu etc -
I looked it up on the internet went to the DVLA filled many forms in and got my licence as I do not Hypo with diabetes I was certain my car insurance would zoom upwards as the internet stated that iot may or certainly would ......
No problems at all as long as you are passed fit to drive by the DVLA in Swansea the insurance company were satisfied with that this applied they told me across the board as it was your GP and the DVLA decision was to apply a road licence they were not interested they just made a note of it.... In deed I negotiated a lower price first before relaying my medical record and got a discount.
so there ends the myth some insurance companies do take advantage of health conditions so shop around these were big companies both stated the same information...
My mum in law got rid of her diabetes by juicing green veg (and drinking it obviously) just in case you're interested.

I have heard of herbal remedies , but I feel they have to be used in the diabetes infancy they don't relate to you after four years of controlling it by diet the medication knackers your pancreas up even more- my diabetes in my family was fetched on by a beta blocker pill Atenolol - before the internet I would have told the GP who put me on it to get stuffed as the same pill conicedently made my late Mother, My brother diabetics type 2 who were given this pill .....
beta-blockers can potentially increase blood glucose concentrations.......
so anyone who has high Blood pressure for the first time do not be fobbed off with these tablets as they are cheap outdated tablets....... and may make you a Diabetic......

Been Type 2 for 22 years now, pills, exercise, then insulin injections, the whole 9 yards. Went for my regular quarterly check up recently and the doctor said "you know you could have been misdiagnosed - it might have been type 1 all along" almost died from falling off the chair. possibly the greatest danger I've experienced.
