Great decision- a captain in my opinion we can be proud of.

He got sent off at the weekend, two fairly soft challenges but as he started to leave the pitch he turned and went back to make sure Vermaelen was ok. Gent in my opinion.

Scott Parker is an old-fashioned, no-messing-about kind of footballer. He's hard working both in defence and attack, and he's thoroughly deserved the arm band in my opinion.

Parker should have been in the squad years ago, he's a good player. I'm quite surprised he's been picked over GBH though.

Great stuff. Hope he's the captain in the Euro's. Although as much as St. Steven is an A grade bell, he's a true leader on the pitch.
