Captain Cahill

This season Rubbish, no captain!!!

TBF to the guy he has done an enormous amount of travelling with his Australia commitments....and his form has suffered this season as as result.

But you have to put it in context, with everything else injury wise that has affected the team...everyone is off their game at this time.

Tim will come good again...We will come good again

I know what you saying but players like Cahill need to step up, hes been around for years now and has produced in the past. This season he has not been the same player, think it could be where hes getting played. He needs to be behind the yak, not on the left, right or behind fellaini when everyone are back maybe rest fellaini and play Cahill up with the yak.

Sorry I don't buy this travelling malarkey as an excuse for poor performances.

I mean, your sitting on a plane in relative luxury. Your going to fairly warm countries, probably in relative luxury. You get home, you get a couple of good nights sleep and then your fine.

Or am I missing something here?

Yeah to be fair, just seem him moaning about a player beating him in the air again for headers. He's one of the worse for the physical game, but doesn't like it when it comes back to him.

During 90 minutes, you are good enough to play, or you aren't.
Excuses as to why he is playing poorly don't help.

Fact: He is playing crap.
Fix: Don't play him.

Why worry that the kids aren't good enough, then play senior players instead, who are not playing well.

Fix: Drop poor performers. Give kids a go while poor performers are resting.

Can't argue with this logic, but don't expect much support mate for your revolutionary ideas.

While I can understand Moyes not risking the younger players in league games, I don't understand why he never rested some of the seniors for the Tottenham game.

Even our kids are professional footballers who have proved they are good enough to be given a contract.
They aren't borrowed from the local park on a Sunday.

Try it sometime....Jet-lag fecks you up....plus there's all those nasty bugs flying around aircraft via the forced air systems...Do it on a regular basis and it could have an affect.

I also personally think he's got one eye on South Africa, and is possibly concerned about over commiting and picking up a serious injury. I kinda get the impression that he's coasting through this season

He's certainly doing that. His performances have been very sketchy.

Agreed....solution is to drop him....give him a break, introduce a new younger face into the team. Agard or Baxter, they cant be any worse than him so what is there to lose, as continually playing Cahill is not working.

Well I would like to see Baxter get more of a game in the attacking midfield role.

I don't think we have much to lose, but Moyes will not take the risk.
