Capping away ticket prices at £30

Maybe the clubs that were in favour of the change should charge each other £30 maximum for away tickets when they play each other and charge £65 when they play the teams who were against. There are some clubs who are doing some good work on reducing the cost of away games. Stoke, for example, put on free coach travel for all away games.

I'd imagine its the London clubs (Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs... possibly West Ham) and City and United who are against this to be honest, i don't think it'd be the RS, as they knock £3 off every match ticket don't they?

But yeah I agree, it's getting unofficially done with Newcastle for most matches, if Everton are so 'vocal' about this, I'm surprised we haven't tried to set up more initiatives like we did with Newcastle and Swansea last season, this season was only Newcastle, based on the fact they have loads set up (including Bournemouth, Southampton, WBA, Swansea etc...) i'd suggest they were the driving force behind that too! Make some waves Everton and get us some cheaper prices.

£55 for Chelsea, £48 for City, £52 for Liverpool, £51 for United, £50 for Norwich do us all a favour!

The best way to put pressure on is for EFC to follow the proposal and cap away fans tickets at £30 and then make a big noise about it.

That said the modern fans idea of a protest against the money men in football is to buy a ticket, a couple of bevvies, a pie and a program and then either walk out near the end or wear a different coloured scarf - that really hurts the likes of the Glazers.

There's a good idea in Italy (I think, can't remember exactly) where the fans will all agree not to buy food or a program but only announce it a few hours before kickoff when the club has already printed the programs or brought the food in. Or like the Roma and Lazio ultras who agreed to both stay away from their derby.

We need to lead by example on this, if we are really for the idea we need to only charge £30 for away fans at Goodison.

Problem with that is that the home fans under the current price structure will be paying more, which isn't really fair' Lets face it £30 is more then enough for anyone to sit in an aging stadium that has so many obstructed views, no matter how much we all love it. If Everton really do believe in this cap they need to show it by putting it into action.

£30 is still too much but it would be a start.

Some of these £50 plus ones are mad. Hour at the minimum wages buys you 12 minutes of football.

I couldn't believe Norwich charged us so much? We charged stoke fans 48 when they came to goodison and they are charging us 30.

The FA really need to start looking after the fans, but I suppose it starts with your clubs.

Each club should be charged the same as they charge away fans, i.e. Arsenal should be charged £62 where ever they go, supporters clubs may then put pressure on their own clubs to charge away fans a more reasonable standard ticket price for every match. Doubt it would take on though.
