Cana deal 'not on the cards'

Despite repeated speculation linking Marseille’s captain Lorik Cana with a move to Everton, a move for the Albanian is not on the cards according to the Liverpool Daily Post newspaper.

Speaking prior his proposed transfer to Hamburg which failed to materialise, the 25-year-old midfielder claimed "Everton in England are also interested" while also acknowledging Everton to be "a very good club" - seemingly indicating interest towards a possible move to Goodison Park.

The fiery midfielder has also recently been linked with moves to Liverpool and Sunderland.
