So he blood doped essentially.
Wonder how many English players were clients of Dr Fuentes?
I can understand why you think that's blood doping, but using platelets isn't. It's just a medical procedure to reduce inflammation and speed up recovery. You can essentially get rid of tedonitis overnight with this treatment. It's far from blood doping and is a legitimate medical procedure you can get done in this country.
His six month stint on painkilling injections (cortisol), whilst also legal is actually worse than juicing. The irony is that cortisol steroid injections are legal in all sports, but they're potentially far more harmful.
Those tablets referenced, six in the morning and six in the evening, sound interesting though. Especially as they were accompanied by a crash after cessation.
Anti inflammatories aid recovery, he's just got a miss understanding of those drugs in the article. They're not great long term mind, specially for your gut lining, but they are a great tool.
The animal injections would be what most people associate with 'juicing/ doping'. Reference him mentioning surgeries in Europe.
The article is a bit of sensationalism coupled with the footballer lack of understanding regarding legitimate treatments and what would constitute banned performance enhancers, he only anekdotally mentioning where performance enhancing drugs were being used.
