Can we challenge euro places?

Currently 7th, yay! 9 points behind ManU, 11 points behind straight euro place. 12 points from CL place.

No fear of dropping into the championship. So what are we doing? Cruising aimlessly for the rest of the season or seriously adjusting our focus on .....something. Even euro place feels too hard to accomplish cause top six looks amazingly competetive.

Transfer window might bring some interesting things but I quess biggest and most interesting developments are happening outside off the pitch.

Are we witnessing another gap year?

Although I don't really believe we will finish higher than 7th, the way the media and most of our own fans even are stating we categorically cannot finish higher than 6th is strange - like it's not even mathematically possible.

A lot can change between now and the end of the season.

We can get a maximum of 7th, which may or may not be good enough to get a Europa spot depending what club wins the FA cup.

I'm still hopeful we can stay in 7th place, by the end of the month I'm sure we will have a good indication if that's possible.

If we were 9 points adrift of staying up at this stage of the season you would say our chances were slim.

So chances of 6th are even slimmer when you consider fact the top 6 will as a rule drop less points than teams down the bottom.

My head says 7th is best we can hope for. Heart says let's give it a try and hope teams who win cups come from top 6.

...much will depend on what League placing qualify but I very much doubt we can hit top 6. I can't see us being good enough to put pressure on. We'll have done well to finish 7th.

My thoughts would be stop looking at the table and win as many games as possible. If we sneak europa then ace, if not and we stay 7th we've still done better than 11th.

Need more progress off the pitch and the squad strengthening, that combined with a "respectable" finish will put it in a good position in the summer.

Yep, missing another striker to help with the goals, a playmaker, a boss cm, a winger, cb, gk. Get them in and we might be in with a chance of closing the gap. But given what we currently have available, I think we should be more worried about teams catching us up rather than us catching the above teams up
