They have a chance simply because Newcastle, Sunderland and Bournemouth aren't much better.
The owner actually done what investors do - make a profit. Lerner sold Young, Milner, Downing, Delph and Benteke to name a few. Martin O'Neil walked out after building a decent team including the sales of some of the above.
You cannot sell your best players every year and just pray that the manager can find bargains replacing £30m strikers with £5m championship ones for example. Been a long time coming IMO.

They chose a foreign coach that's unproven in the English game and only ever managed a mid table side in France and won one cup. They're not really in a rebuilding situation, they're in a fighting for their lives situation so it's not the sort of manager I'd go with. They defend like a clown circus and keep playing that Sanchez, who is one of the worst midfielders I've ever seen and seems only to be able to kick people or be bypassed.

See ya later Villa. You better hurry back as I don't want our most played fixture record disappearing.

Even though the Davek Party are trying to rewrite history, Moyes pretty much did this for 11 seasons and finished top half.

Gutted that they managed to cling on last season. Honestly cannot stand Aston Villa. With a third of the season gone already this time around, they look like a one legged cat trying to bury a turd on a frozen lake.

Laters Villa

from villa talk

In view of the all supposed "Riches" coming into the PL next season, I almost wish we had gone down last Season and were in with a chance of coming back up for next season - however, I don't expect us to come back anytime soon in reality.

Unfortunately this team has relegation written all over it.
Its been coming for 4 years and finally its upon us.

....last throw of the dice is usually the change in manager as it can provide some impetus. Despite a decent first game v Man City this isn't working out and it's hard to see Learner investing in January. It's looking bleak.
