Well! It was initially bloody terrifying. But turned out totally boss.
Basically they hired me as a temp footy coach and perm radio specialist. So I went there knowing the football part would be easy, but having literally no idea what 'radio specialist' actually meant.
Still, wasn't arsed as it all sounded boss. So turned up and had a big meeting. It got to me and we had to talk about our plans and what we were going to do. Footy bit easy. Radio...erm...so I just asked what they wanted band basically it was running the camp radio show.
So the kids had like hour slots each day where they did the different activities around the camp. These go from canoeing to arts and crafts. And radio was in there! So in the hour I'd basically make a radio show with the kids and then it was aired during the kids lunch. Turned out pretty awesome.
We did all sorts. Sports shows, made jingles for the camp. And all of it I just made up as I went along.
You'd be great at this mate.
