Player Valuation: £25m
I'm currently in the process of editing the database of Football Manager 2013 as part of an update for all those impatient types out there like me who can't wait for the next official version to be released. I'm now at the stage where I'm up to date with transfers so can focus on editing player data. Now, I could do Everton by myself, but because I'm frightened of being biased and it showing in the update I'd like to involve other members of Everton's best board.

As a bench mark, I'm going to tell you that Lionel Messi's current ability is 196. His potential ability is 199. 200 is the maximum ability a player can reach. What these numbers mean is that Messi tears the game apart, just as he does in real life. He and Ronaldo are just about the only players in the game who can get away with these sort of figures and it remaining realistic in game. As much as I'd like to give Naismith 200 CA, I just can't. If this still doesn't make sense to you, it will do shortly.

Below you will find the current Everton squad and their current/potential abilities. All you have to do is tell me where adjustments need to be made based on their current level and their potential level:

Baines 162/162
Fellaini 160/165
Mirallas 155/165
Jagielka 154/154
Jelavic 151/151
Pienaar 151/164
Howard 150/160
Distin 141/155
Gibson 140/145
Coleman 139/155
Anichebe 135/145
Osman 135/150
Heitinga 132/145
Hibbert 132/140
Oviedo 130/142
Naismith 128/145
Gueye 126/148
Stones 119/-8
Barkley 117/-9
Vellios 114/-7
Duffy 111/-8
Bidwell 99/135
McAleny 95/-6
Junior 92/-7
Kennedy 85/-8
Hope 84/-8
Garbutt 83/-8
Lundstram 81/-8
Green 78/-9
Taudul 74/-7
Browning 70/-6
Pennington 62/-6
Long 62/-7

"-" numbers are used when it's too early in a players career to make a prediction on just how good they will be in the future. "-9" usually means a player will become pretty damn good in the game, "-8" is a standard squad player, etc.

If you don't play Football Manager but would still like to get involved, feel free.

Baines 166/166 (to make him best in the league)
Fellaini 164/168 Box to Box, therefore needs more CA points for attacking and defending stats.
Mirallas 155/165
Jagielka 159/160 (One of the best English CB at the moment)
Jelavic 140/151 (unfortunately, out of form)
Pienaar 151/164
Howard 147/160 is making errors more often.
Distin 148/155 Still an excellent player
Gibson 145/150
Coleman 148/160
Anichebe 142/147 I can see him growing a bit more, not a lot but a bit.
Osman 139/150 CA 135 was perhaps a bit low even though he's inconsistent
Heitinga 132/148
Hibbert 132/140
Oviedo 130/-8 Although he's 23 he's still an unknown quantity. Have to see more of him.
Naismith 128/145
Gueye 126/-7
Stones 119/-8
Barkley 117/-9
Vellios 114/-7
Duffy 111/-8
Bidwell 99/135
McAleny 95/-8 Never seen him play but I think he is highly rated
Junior 92/-7
Kennedy 85/-8
Hope 84/-8
Garbutt 83/-8
Lundstram 81/-8
Green 78/-9
Taudul 74/-7
Browning 70/-6
Pennington 62/-6
Long 62/-7

Hope I'm not being too biased here but I do think they made us look very weak compared to Arsenal, Spurs and Liverpool when we are not.

Cheers for the response robotx597. Hard to disagree with what you've wrote but I'd just like to see if the thread gets some more replies in before going through with anything.

Oviedo should be 190. One of the few players who actually gets better without playing.

I would make Long a -8 and put McAleny up a bit as well, boost Fellaini, Baines, Jagielka, Mirallas, Distin, Coleman by a few and maybe Osman, Anichebe and Gibson as well. Drop down Heitinga and Jelavic.

Isnt Barkley a wonderkid in the game? That score seems very low, his performances even in the first season are usually seven or above.

-9 means he will turn out into a good player and can be world class with the right training and game time.
