I know this is a long shot but I thought it's worth a try. I am trying to trace an old friend who I sat with at Goodison in 1977/78 in the main stand. His name is Bob Wylie who was a great guy and a top Evertonian. I haven't seen Bob for a good few years and would love to meet up with him again. We went to Feyenoord together in 1979 for the old UEFA cup game. He used to live in Bootle and would appreciate any information anybody may have. It would mean so much to me to know where he is and if he's still a blue. The things you do when you are getting old eh?

Pal, if you are a writer and I think you are, you got to get this ongoing story in a book. Bob of 77/78. This could be magic and I want my fare share of the cut.

Don't know of Bob Wylie mate, but thought I would bump this thread.

I was at Feyenoord too (Hull to Rotterdam ferry)and your post got me thinking about the two lads who I went with.
One was with my cousin, who moved to Glasgow in the early 80s and is now a Celtic season ticket holder (not seen him for about 15 yrs)
The other lad I was with was in a traffic accident and died just months after the Feyenoord trip.
Hope you manage to get in touch with Bob.

What sort of age would he be mate ?

He would be around 60 or a couple of years older. He seed to wear glasses and had a beard

Electoral roll's probably your best bet mate, but Wylie's a fairly common Scottish name and nothing obvious is turning up.
There was a Rachel Wylie living in Bootle in ~ 2002 sharing a house with Richard, Norma and Nora, but nothing much apart from that.

If he was married and you can remember his wife's name that would probably help to tie it down.

He had been married and then divorced. Obviously I don't know his current status
