Played cricket as a young lad there years ago, walked from the pavilion, all the way down those big steps out to the square and was run out next ball without facing and had the long walk back, it's got to be the longest walk to a crease anywhere in cricket.?
As you said what a great setting for any sport.

Plus the bar in the clubhouse is more like the bar in pub, than a sports club.

Just a pity you need to be a millionaire to live anywhere near the place lol
