Crazy.

One of my good mates used to play for their first team when, if I recall correctly, they got promoted to National League 1. Even then that was considered lofty heights for the time.

This is an incredible achievement.

My Dad went to Caldy school, and played rugby for that team. This surely isnt the same team/club, is it?

The school is Calday not Caldy why is that ? And it's in West Kirby not Caldy ?
Do you know I don’t know why the spelling is different
Calday Grange is indeed in West Kirby. West Kirby is a mile from Caldy.
Caldy RUFC was originally called Old Caldeans but became an open club I think in the 1970’s.
When I was at school we used to play our games over the road from the rugby club
The discos at the club in the 70’s were brilliant.
30 girls dancing around their handbags
Oh what fun

My lad plays against their U16’s for Waterloo.

It’s my favourite ground bar non.

The views from the club house across the Dee onto the Welsh Hills are stunning.
Played cricket as a young lad there years ago, walked from the pavilion, all the way down those big steps out to the square and was run out next ball without facing and had the long walk back, it's got to be the longest walk to a crease anywhere in cricket.?
As you said what a great setting for any sport.
