They'll be raking it in. Friend of mine says he can charge people about £50 before they even put the clock on.

Mate don't believe it I was in the taxi game years ago as I remember there were 2 nights in the year you could go on rate 3 (double time) tonight and xmas day I did it once and all people do is argue how much it costs - not worth the aggro and I had a few drivers who wouldn't work cos of the bother.

Better if they did away with the expensive rates altogether imo.
 
Good on them making a bit extra tonight. They'll deal with all sorts and the taxi firms have flooded the books recently so there's less money going round for them too.

Unless they start a bidding war for the highest price to get in the cab at the rank in which case they can do one. Defo kopites them if they do that.

Mate, I've just finished my shift. From midnight I was allowed to charge the fare plus one third. Your pal is bull****ting. I took a young couple to the outskirts of Glasgow and they started fighting in the back seat. The big cu,t actually nutted his bird a dull one in the back seat and when I threw him out she smacked her mobile off my nut. £11 quid and a sore Heid. HAPPY DAYS
