Shut in the middle of the day where I work, shutters down and that was it.

Website is down as well.

I know Game was a pile of crap but genuinely shocked that Gamestation is going under too (I know Game own them but that must have been a profitable side of the business).
 

A mate works at my local store, been a few rumours prior to today, then came the phone call telling them to cash up and shut up, wonder whos next?
 
Really? Wow! On the rare occasions I buy games, Game was the one! Surprised. Usually busy in all the ones I've been in!

Grainger Games is pretty cheap too, there's one by the big McDonalds next to Liverpool One.

Gamestation was good until Game took it over, then it stopped being cheap. The best deals are to be found online these days.
 
Would have took all sorts if I worked there and the phoned telling me they had gone bust
 
I hope my local one has a clearing out sale. Fancy getting FIFA street and a PS2 to play San Andreas and Canis Canem Edit on.
 

I am on the other side of the world and not surprised at this. It was apparently well known they were going under, just a question of when.
 
It was a car crash waiting to happen badly run business and the only ones who will get hurt are the poor buggers who work on the shop floor its been awful to watch over the last few months terrible it really is.

It may raise itself a slimmer business but i suspect smaller business models may be the way to go with perhaps the return of the indie shops,i hope so anyway.
