looked at australia a couple of years ago with my wife who's a nurse, looked at melbourne but it was just as expensive over here so a bit of a no go at present. maybe one day.

Dont go to a city, go to a regional center, houses are half the price and you still get paid the same (for govt. nursing job).

nice one! I'm guessing by the correctly spelt words that you're not a drummer

you still playing then?

Haven't played seriously for a few years. Bass player by trade, bit of guitar. Done a few charity gigs, and play at a couple of guitar jam night thingys now and again. Love a bit of brass though, sax maniac me. How's it going for you, Glastonbury cold turkey?

That show sounds good. Stylistics, Temptations, Percy Sledge, Freda Payne, loads of the old tamla names. Enjoy mate.

Like Bruce, I've saved up a bit of money over the years and don't really spend it on anything other than what we need (other than the odd vacation).

Nice thing about living in Texas is that you can get a lot of home for not a lot of money. Compared to some other states (CA, NV, up in the Northeast) you get a lot of bang for your buck here.
